Swine Flu Vaccine
We at the New Parenting.com Blog present this as a public service to all parents with children in the U.S.
All of this material is so important NOW and Dr. Mercola has totally covered it. My thanks to him for thoroughly presenting all the information and references.
Squalene: the Swine Flu Vaccine’s Dirty Little Secret Exposed
According to Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, your children should be the first target for mass swine flu vaccinations when school starts this fall.
This is a ridiculous assumption for many reasons, not to mention extremely high risk.
In Australia, where the winter season has begun, Federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon is reassuring parents the swine flu is no more dangerous than regular seasonal flu. “Most people, including children, will experience very mild symptoms and recover without any medical intervention,” she said.
Sydney-based immunization specialist Robert Booy predicts swine flu might be fatal to about twice as many children in the coming year as regular influenza. Booy estimates 10-12 children could die from the H1N1 virus, compared with the five or six regular flu deaths seen among children in an average year in Australia.
“Cure the Disease, Kill the Patient”
Less than 100 children in the U.S. die each year from seasonal flu viruses. If we use Australia’s math, a very rough estimate would be another 100 children could potentially die of swine flu in the United States in the coming year, that’s a total of a possible 200 children.
If children are the first target group in the U.S. per Sebelius, that means we’re about to inject around 75 million children with a fast tracked vaccine containing novel adjuvants, including dangerous squalene, to prevent perhaps 100 deaths.
I’m not overlooking the tragedy of the loss of even one child to an illness like the H1N1 flu virus. But there can be no argument that unnecessary mass injection of millions of children with a vaccine containing an adjuvant known to cause a host of debilitating autoimmune diseases is a reckless, dangerous plan.
Why are Vaccinations Dangerous?
The presumed intent of a vaccination is to help you build immunity to potentially harmful organisms that cause illness and disease. However, your body’s immune system is already designed to do this in response to organisms which invade your body naturally.
Most disease-causing organisms enter your body through the mucous membranes of your nose, mouth, pulmonary system or your digestive tract – not through an injection.
These mucous membranes have their own immune system, called the IgA immune system. It is a different system from the one activated when a vaccine is injected into your body.
Your IgA immune system is your body’s first line of defense. Its job is to fight off invading organisms at their entry points, reducing or even eliminating the need for activation of your body’s immune system.
When a virus is injected into your body in a vaccine, and especially when combined with an immune adjuvant like squalene, your IgA immune system is bypassed and your body’s immune system kicks into high gear in response to the vaccination.
Injecting organisms into your body to provoke immunity is contrary to nature.
And as if Vaccines Weren’t Dangerous Enough on Their Own …
… Imagine them turbocharged.
The main ingredient in a vaccine is either killed viruses or live ones that have been attenuated (weakened and made less harmful).
Flu vaccines can also contain a number of chemicals, including ethylene glycol (antifreeze), formaldehyde, phenol (carbolic acid) and even antibiotics like Neomycin and streptomycin.
In addition to the viruses and other additives, many vaccines also contain immune adjuvants like aluminum and squalene.
The purpose of an immune adjuvant added to a vaccine is to enhance (turbo charge) your immune response to the vaccination. Adjuvants cause your immune system to overreact to the introduction of the organism you’re being vaccinated against.
Adjuvants are supposed to get the job done faster (but certainly not more safely), which reduces the amount of vaccine required per dose, and the number of doses given per individual.
Less vaccine required per person means more individual doses available for mass vaccination campaigns. Coincidentally, this is exactly the goal of government and the pharmaceutical companies who stand to make millions from their vaccines.
Will There Be Immune Adjuvants in Swine Flu Vaccines?
The U.S. government has contracts with several drug companies to develop and produce swine flu vaccines. At least two of those companies, Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline, are using an adjuvant in their H1N1 vaccines.
The adjuvant? Squalene.
According to Meryl Nass, M.D., an authority on the anthrax vaccine,
“A novel feature of the two H1N1 vaccines being developed by companies Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline is the addition of squalene-containing adjuvants to boost immunogenicity and dramatically reduce the amount of viral antigen needed. This translates to much faster production of desired vaccine quantities.
Novartis’s proprietary squalene adjuvant for their H1N1 vaccine is MF59. Glaxo’s is ASO3. MF59 has yet to be approved by the FDA for use in any U.S. vaccine, despite its history of use in other countries.
Per Dr. Nass, there are only three vaccines in existence using an approved squalene adjuvant. None of the three are approved for use in the U.S.
What Squalene Does to Rats
Oil-based vaccination adjuvants like squalene have been proved to generate concentrated, unremitting immune responses over long periods of time. A 2000 study published in the American Journal of Pathology demonstrated a single injection of the adjuvant squalene into rats triggered “chronic, immune-mediated joint-specific inflammation,” also known as rheumatoid arthritis.
The researchers concluded the study raised questions about the role of adjuvants in chronic inflammatory diseases.
What Squalene Does to Humans
Your immune system recognizes squalene as an oil molecule native to your body. It is found throughout your nervous system and brain. In fact, you can consume squalene in olive oil and not only will your immune system recognize it, you will also reap the benefits of its antioxidant properties.
The difference between “good” and “bad” squalene is the route by which it enters your body. Injection is an abnormal route of entry which incites your immune system to attack all the squalene in your body, not just the vaccine adjuvant.
Your immune system will attempt to destroy the molecule wherever it finds it, including in places where it occurs naturally, and where it is vital to the health of your nervous system. Gulf War veterans with Gulf War Syndrome (GWS) received anthrax vaccines which contained squalene MF59 (the Novartis squalene adjuvant) was an unapproved ingredient in experimental anthrax vaccines and has since been linked to the devastating autoimmune diseases suffered by countless Gulf War vets. The Department of Defense made every attempt to deny that squalene was indeed an added contaminant in the anthrax vaccine administered to Persian Gulf war military personnel – deployed and non-deployed – as well as participants in the more recent Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program (AVIP).
However, the FDA discovered the presence of squalene in certain lots of AVIP product. A test was developed to detect anti-squalene antibodies in GWS patients, and a clear link was established between the contaminated product and all the GWS sufferers who had been injected with the vaccine containing squalene.
A study conducted at Tulane Medical School and published in the February 2000 issue of Experimental Molecular Pathology included these stunning statistics:
“ … the substantial majority (95%) of overtly ill deployed GWS patients had antibodies to squalene. All (100%) GWS patients immunized for service in Desert Shield/Desert Storm who did not deploy, but had the same signs and symptoms as those who did deploy, had antibodies to squalene.
In contrast, none (0%) of the deployed Persian Gulf veterans not showing signs and symptoms of GWS have antibodies to squalene. Neither patients with idiopathic autoimmune disease nor healthy controls had detectable serum antibodies to squalene. The majority of symptomatic GWS patients had serum antibodies to squalene.” According to Dr. Viera Scheibner, Ph.D., a former principle research scientist for the government of Australia:
“… this adjuvant [squalene] contributed to the cascade of reactions called “Gulf War Syndrome,” documented in the soldiers involved in the Gulf War.
The symptoms they developed included arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anaemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Raynaud’s phenomenon, Sjorgren’s syndrome, chronic diarrhoea, night sweats and low-grade fevers.”

Post Vaccination Follow-Up Might as Well Be Non-Existent
There is virtually no science to support the safety of vaccine injections on your long-term health or the health of your children. Follow-up studies last on average about two weeks, and look only for glaring injuries and illnesses.
Autoimmune disorders like those seen in Gulf War Syndrome frequently take years to diagnose due to the vagueness of early symptoms. Complaints like headaches, fatigue and chronic aches and pains are symptoms of many different illnesses and diseases.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for vaccine purveyors and proponents to look seriously at the long-term health consequences of their vaccination campaigns.
What you can do: -
Visit the National Vaccination Information Center (NVIC.org) site and join in the fight against mandatory swine flu vaccinations.
Educate yourself about influenza strains, vaccination risks, and the public health laws in your state that may require you or your children to undergo either mandatory vaccination or quarantine.
Take care of your health to reduce or eliminate your risk of contracting the flu. The key is to keep your immune system strong by following these guidelines:
• Eliminate sugar and processed foods from your diet. Sugar consumption has an immediate, debilitating effect on your immune system.
• Take a high quality source of animal-based omega 3 fats like Krill Oil.
• Exercise. Your immune system needs good circulation in order to perform at its best for you.
• Optimize your vitamin D levels. Vitamin D deficiency is the likely cause of seasonal flu viruses. Getting an optimal level of vitamin D will help you fight infections of all kinds.
• Get plenty of good quality sleep.
• Deal with stress effectively. If you feel overwhelmed by stress, your body will not have the reserves it needs to fight infection.
• Wash your hands. But not with an antibacterial soap. Use a pure, chemical-free soap.

Does Your Child Have Nature Deficit Disorder?

Studies show that kids who have access to nature display fewer attention lapses such as; interrupting, not listening and distraction.

Is your child suffering from not spending enough time in nature? Richard Louv, author of “Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder” asserts that many modern children do. In fact, other medical and mental health experts and a growing body of researchers are also concerned about how little time our children are spending in the great outdoors. Why should parents be aware of this? What are some of the problems that result from nature deficit and what can we do to prevent it in our children?
First let’s define the problem. As Louv sees it, when our kids spend less time in natural environments, the results are what we’re seeing more and more of in recent years: weight issues in children, attention problems, depression, anxiety and stress. According to Louv, anecdotal evidence as well as several studies point to a connection between the increasing amount of time our kids spend indoors doing more sedentary activities, and emotional, health and social problems.
To be fair, many parents are justifiably concerned about safety. But this comes at a price. Many of us who are parents today remember spending much of our own childhoods out of doors, even in less than perfect weather! Long walks through the woods with friends, bike rides through the neighborhood feeling the wind in our hair, day dreaming for hours on the tire swing under the tree, these were the stuff memories were made of. Our kids today are often shuttled from one activity to another, most of this taking place in structured environments, and many of them indoors. What are our kids missing out on?
The research points to several things. One is that spending time in nature can help relieve stress. It also helps kids focus more. One study conducted by the University of Illinois found that children with attention problems can focus better after outdoor activities. Other studies point to increased cognitive ability among kids who have access to natural settings and display fewer attention lapses (such as interrupting, not listening and distraction).

Also important are the findings that unstructured play (the kind that takes place when kids roam the great outdoors) leads to enhanced emotional and social development. They get better at problem solving and getting along with other kids. Not to be discounted is the fact any Mom can testify to: that getting the kids outdoors makes them calmer, helps them eat better as well as sleep better!

So how do we make sure our kids are getting enough time outside, especially if we don’t live in a rural area? One way is to structure recreation around nature.  Spending time in parks, taking walks on nature trails, hiking, mountain climbing, visiting lakes, rivers and beaches and picnics outdoors are some ideas. Even in urban areas you probably have access to city parks and botanical gardens. Build a tree house in your backyard if you can. Encourage your kids to go outside and play as much as possible. Make it mandatory if they don’t seem to enjoy it at first. Like eating vegetables, they often will start to love it with time.

If it’s not safe for your kids to play outside without supervision, then spend time outside with them. Go for walks outside as a family. Eat some of your meals outdoors if weather permits. Involve the kids in outdoor chores like yard work or hanging laundry. The benefits will likely be obvious to you after a period of time and are worth the extra effort.

WHAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING PARENTS CAN DO

It turns out that one of the simplest ways to promote both physical and emotional wellness for your entire family can be rediscovered right in your home: Research has clearly shown that the practice of sitting down for a regular family meal has an abundance of positive effects on the entire family.
In 2006, a report by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University in New York City consistently found that the more often children eat dinner with their families, the less likely they are to smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use recreational drugs. Moreover, these children are also more likely to have better grades and to confide in their parents. A sit-down meal provides an opportunity to be with your children in a relaxed atmosphere allowing you a chance to hear about what interests them and the challenges they may be facing with friends at school. It may appear that your kids are not listening, recent studies suggest otherwise. Making a regular practice of eating together enables you to watch your children’s progress and to keep up on issues in their day to day life. It gives them something they can rely on, look forward to and remember. And, you’ll find that they really enjoy the time you give them. Even eye-rolling teens.

LOVE=NURTURE=NUTRITION=FOOD FROM MAMA
Home cooked meals are a much healthier alternative to most of the fast food we tend to grab in our busy lives. There used to be a commercial that said; “Nothin’ says lovin’ like something from the oven.” I agree. Made from real ingredients, a well prepared family dinner can often be the solution to allergies, obesity, depression and many other problems that can affect you children.
In our home my wife is always asking when she’s cooked something for the family, “Do you taste the love in it?” And we do.

One of the greatest challenges in this day of triple tasking and more and more people going into their own entrepreneurial businesses, that parents face is learning to balance their work life with their family life. Especially when you are passionate about your work, it seems like there is always something more you can do for it. More time you can put into it. But it is truly your first consideration to remember the people in your life who make all your efforts worthwhile. These are the people for whom you work so hard. The ones you love and protect and provide for. And though it may appear to be a lost art, it is actually very simple to get back into the dinner groove. Preparing the food that conveys your love and good nutrition that your entire family, you included, can enjoy is easier than you think. Once you appreciate how important it is to your family – and your business – you’ll see how easy it is to get on board.

Top Tip for reducing Stress Quickly

Stress results from negative emotions that you are unable to resolve or off load. This is accompanied by a build up of adrenalin, the stress hormone, in your body. To successfully clear the adrenalin, and the stress; do the following: – Have a small pillow, large enough to cover your face and mouth close at hand. Next, stand with your feet about two feet apart. Bend your knees. Close your eyes. Now, let your arms hang loosely at your sides and bounce keeping your feet flat on the floor. Bounce for 60 seconds.

Now open your eyes, put the pillow in front of your face and scream as loudly into the pillow as you can for 30 or more seconds. Let this be your HATE SCREAM. Close your eyes and bounce again for a second minute. Then repeat with your ANGER SCREAM. Bounce. Then your FEAR SCREAM. Bounce. And a final SADNESS SCREAM. Take a few deep breaths and the stress will be completely gone in less than 10 minutes.

BECOME A MODEL FOR GREEN VALUES
Growing Green Kids
Children become what they see not what they are told. To raise kids with a consciousness of the planet and our relationship to it should begin early. They need to practice with parents the behaviors which respect our earth. They also need to know from an early age why we do things to protect the earth. I teach my son that the earth is a living being. How do we know? We can tell because there are several actions which prove aliveness. First: Movement. If something moves it is alive. Show your child examples such as how the earth rotates making day and night.  How it revolves around the sun causing the change of seasons.  Show him/her examples of living things;  animals, insects, birds and people.  Second: Where the part is alive the whole must be alive. Explain something simply that a child can understand.  That the earth is our mother. She has been called ‘Mother Earth’ in tales and fables forever. She is like a giant breast nourishing the thin film of organic life which exists on her surface. If we love Mommy we need to love our Mother the Earth as well. The ‘Earth is abstract for a child and needs to be related to through the concrete aspects of nature which makes ‘Earth’ understandable.  It is not easy in our culture of commercial convenience to attempt a lifestyle of simpler ways and respect for green values.
The consumer marketplace, filled with products and services that make day to day life ‘convenient’ for busy parents does not make it easy. Disposable plates and cups making it easy to clean up after a meal; garbage pick-up making it easy to throw something away and never think about it again. But, if we stop for a moment and think about our impact on the earth we know that we need to change this way of thinking or rather not-thinking, if we want our children to become mindful of their impact on our planet which is basically teaching love. While the deck may appear to be stacked against us, it is possible to raise green kids in this consumer wonderland and it all starts with the decisions we make in the home.
Recycling
One of the easiest ways to teach children about being good stewards of the earth is to teach them about recycling and have them play an active role in the process in their own home. Children need to know about why recycling is needed and how we can easily overwhelm our planet with garbage if we don’t recycle whenever possible. Provide small tubs or cans for your children and label accordingly…glass, cardboard, paperboard, aluminum cans, tin cans, etc. Make it a weekly responsibility for them to sort the items to be recycled and take them out to be picked up by the city. If you do not have city pickup you can make special trips to the nearest recycling facility and as a bonus they may get to see the recycling process in action.

Also, take your child shopping; it’s a wonderful place for education. Read labels together and talk about the aspects of sugar and chemicals in foods. Make him/her a conscious consumer. Children will relate to the natural faster than adults. They are closer to the source, so to speak, having come more recently into this world. You will be surprised at what they will teach you. Just ask them. Be sure you buy recycled products whenever possible. Even your child’s toothbrush can be bought from a company that used recycled materials. Preserve is a company that makes toothbrushes from recycled yogurt cups for example. Children really relate to yogurt and tooth brushes.
Conservation
Teach children from an early age that conserving resources such as energy and water is important. Have them help you build a cistern or a rain water collection system so that you can capture rainfall to use during droughts or for watering indoor plants. It can be a game for them to monitor how fast the water accumulates.
Stress the importance of turning off all lights and electrical appliances when not in use. Plug TVs, DVD units, CD players, video game systems, etc into one power strip and have them turn it off after each use. Small reminder signs can be made by your children and placed near exits or on remote controls to help them remember to do this.
When the weather is permitting have your children help you hang clothes outside on a clothes line to dry. You use sun power, conserve energy and let them smell the clothing after drying in the sun. Just as we can think of the earth as our mother, we can think of the sun as our father. Always providing and protecting us through the sun’s relationship to green nature causing the chlorophyll to rise in plants and the red blood cells grow our bodies. “The green of the plant gives the red of the blood,” is a good maxim for children to learn. The light of the sun helps us to produce vitamins on our skin and inside our body. Think about other ways that the sun operates in life. You can talk with your children about ways you might use alternative energy in your home as well.
All of these small steps can make a big impact. The biggest benefit for our children is to teach them to develop a relationship to nature and that living in harmony with our earth and keeping it beautiful is very important for everyone and for life.
